Sprouts are full of nutrition and the best source of a balanced food. Sprouts are alkaline in nature and hence improve the health in many respects. They are helpful in complete purification of the body and also improves the disease fighting capacity of the body. Sprouts also increase the nutritiounal value of food.

In order to maintain good health, 80% of the food should be alkaline and 20% should be acidic, which should necessarily include raw food and sprouts in good quantity. Sprouts are best medicine for the body. Sprouts are the germinated seeds of lentils or grains, and this germination process gives a lot of beneficial qualities for health.

Why are sprouts essential?

In the present life style, food habits are changing fast and in an unnatural way. This has a bad impact on our health. The main reason for most of the diseases is wrong food habits, life style and negative thinking. Sprouts are the best solution for improving wrong food habits. The use of sprouts as a part of daily food fulfills the need for alkaline and acidic food requirement, which is important for maintaining good health.

Use of Sprouts

Any healthy or unhealthy person can eat sprouts but the quantity should be less in the beginning and they should be chewed properly. Cucumber, tomato, green chillies, coriander and lemon can be added to enhance the taste and also make it more nutritious. Sprouts are the germinated seeds of lentils or grains, and this germination process gives lot of beneficial qualities for health. If an ill person consumes raw foods then he or she can overcome health related problems very easily. If a healthy person eats sprouts regularly then he or she can prevent several diseases and also improve their health.

All grains cannot be sprouted. Sunflower, pulses, kidney bean, gram, soybean, fenugreek, and wheat seeds can be sprouted. These sprouts can be taken after consultation with doctor or an expert.

At the time of sprouting wheat, special care should be taken to avoid fungus formation. Use a glass jar to make wheat sprouts or some other special sprout makers that are available in the market and put it under the sun in the morning.

  • Sprouts should be taken raw as boiling, cooking or roasting destroys its nutrition value. However, it can be steam cooked. Old people, who cannot chew sprouts, should grind it and eat the paste. This will not reduce the nutritional value of sprouts.
  • Sprouts of kidney beans, fenugreek, gram and other grains can be made in a glass jar or damp cloth. Wash the grains or lentils thoroughly in water at least three to four times. Remove the bad seeds and place the good ones in a glass jar and fill it with four times water. Soak overnight, and spread on a cotton cloth, tie it nicely and keep it aside. During summer season, sprinkle cold water on the sprout bag prepared in this manner to retain the moisture. Sprouts appear the next morning. The sprouting process takes more time during winter season than summer season. Sprinkle water inside the jar also at regular intervals.
  • Do not store the sprouts for many days. Use fresh sprouts and wash it once in water before eating.
  • The seeds, grains or lentils chosen for making sprouts should be fresh, new, clean, and free from chemicals. Some seeds cannot be sprouted during this process. Select and remove the unhealthy seeds.
Best seeds suitable for sprouting:
  • Kidney beans can be easily sprouted. They contain vitamin A, E and C.
  • Fenugreek has a strong and bitter taste. It has curative power. It is used in the treatment of diabetes and arthritis.
  • Gram is sprouted since ancient times. It provides vitamins, protein and minerals. Sprouts are like nectar. Eat them raw to improve your health.

Practice Yoga and be Healthy

  • Dhanurasana makes the muscles of spine and back flexible. It overcomes nervous weakness, constipation and psychological disorders.
  • Ardhamatysendrasana removes constipation and indigestion. It improves the health of the liver and kidneys. It is beneficial in case of diabetes and also strengthens the muscles of the back and shoulders.

  • Tolangulasana reduces obesity and overcomes stomach disorders. It increases concentration.

Stomach Ache: Causes and Cure According to Ayurveda

There are different types of stomach ache - problems of gas, burning sensation, shooting pain, stomach ache lasting for long intervals, etc. Most of the stomach problems are caused due to the food we eat and contaminated water. Apart from this, stomach ache can also be caused by tuberculosis, stones, blockage in the intestine, infection, cancer and other diseases.

Symptoms of Stomach Ache:

The common symptoms of stomach disorder are dysentery, irregular bowels, constipation, indigestion, gas, loss of appetite, uncomfortable feeling in the stomach, vomiting, dysentery with blood, burning sensation in the stomach, urine and chest, acidity, jaundice and irregular menstruation in the women. If you have these symptoms, you should question yourself, what is the cause of stomach ache? It is always advised to take medicines only after knowing the cause and practice the proper asana related to the disease. Yoga asana is one action which has the capacity to cure serious diseases.

Causes of Stomach Ache: Worms

Whipworm, threadworm, hookworm, tapeworm and other worms cause infection in the stomach. Children and adults generally complain of stomach ache due to these worms. Along with these symptoms the patient can have dysentery, anemia, malnutrition, swelling in the appendix, jaundice, cough, rising heartbeat, bile related eruptions on the body and other problems. Tapeworm's yeast present in the brain can cause fits. The chances of liver and lung problems are also increased.

Causes of Stomach Ache: Peptic Ulcer

When hydrochloric acid is secreted in an excess quantity in the upper portion of Dryden's pipe of the small intestine or the security cover is spoiled, the patient can develop wounds, pain in the middle part of the stomach, burning sensations, vomiting, acidity, and burning sensation in the chest can occur.

Causes of Stomach Ache: Gastroenteritis

Painkillers (allopathic medicines) are extremely harmful. The chance of Gastroenteritis increases with the consumption of liquor, some medicines like Disprin, Aspirin, and Cortisone, etc. Also virus or kidney infection can cause swelling of the covering of the stomach and wounds are formed in the stomach. This causes pain in the upper part of the stomach, vomiting, loss of appetite and other problems. Repeated vomiting can drain off necessary substances from the body. Gastroenteritis occurs suddenly and the best way to protect from this disease is intake of clean, hygienic and pure food. Avoid consumption of liquor, smoking cigarette, bidi etc. Do not take painkillers. Do not consume liquor and any such thing.

If this disease has attacked a person, it is good to take milk, ice cream and take the help of Ayurvedic medicines and yoga asana. Do not allow the formation of constipation.

Causes of Stomach Ache: Colitis

This disease is caused due to the consumption of contaminated water and food. This disease spreads due to the infection of tuberculosis, amoeba, foreign bodies, Shigela Bacteria, ulcerative colitis etc. This causes swelling of the large intestine. There is acute pain in the lower part of the stomach. Along with it, dysentery, mucous in the bowels, blood, and pus start developing. Some people also have the complaint of mild fever, loss of appetite, etc. Consume clean and pure water to protect from this disease. Do not consume canned food available in the market. Avoid stale food, chaat, pakora's, fruits sold in the open etc. Protect the food, milk, and water from getting polluted with cockroaches, mosquitoes and bees. Wash your hands with an antiseptic based soap before taking food and after passing bowels. Take the help of ayurvedic medicines and yoga asana to cure this disease. Causes of Stomach Ache: Tuberculosis of the Intestine

Stomach ache persists incase of tuberculosis of the intestine. This causes swelling and wounds in the intestines and starts bleeding. Weight loss, loss of appetite, mild fever, swelling in the lymphatic glands and peritoneal membrane, which leads to acute pain in the stomach. The stomach swells up and there is severe pain near the navel and all its sides. Constipation or dysentery also occurs. Gas is accumulated in the stomach and vomiting begins. The patient feels weak. Appendicitis pain is unbearable. It arises suddenly; it begins from the middle part of the stomach and carries on to the right side of the stomach. Regular practice can completely cure this disease, but only if it is detected very early.

Causes of Stomach Ache: Liver Cancer

A patient with liver cancer has a liver as hard as a stone. The patient suffers with pain in the upper right part of the stomach and this gradually increases. Loss of appetite, jaundice, weakness and weight loss are some of the common symptoms. Liver cancer is caused due to the consumption of liquor or due to poison in fungus infected grains. Ayurveda has a complete cure for this disease. There are very effective yoga asanas, which can cure this disease.

Causes of Stomach Ache: Kidney Stones

Stones in the kidney cause acute pain in the right side of the stomach, back, spine, and lower urinary bladder and in the genitals in men. Vomiting, burning sensation, pain and bleeding in the urine can be caused. Children generally have stones in the bladder and experience unbearable pain in the lower part of the stomach. The patients suffering with this problem should drink a lot of water and consume curd, rice, and tomato in very less quantity. Ayurvedic medicines dissolve the stones and they are excreted through the urine. Regular practice of yoga asana cures this disease.

Causes of Stomach Ache: Wound in the Liver

Amoeba foreign bodies and hydride yeast cause pain in the upper right side and middle part of the stomach. This pain gradually passes on to the right side of the chest and shoulders.

Swelling of the liver is also caused due to the infection of hepatitis virus. This causes pain in the upper right side of the stomach and jaundice. Along with these symptoms the patient gets mild fever, loss of appetite, yellow urine and other related problems.

Stop eating non-vegetarian food and stop consumption of liquor to protect from liver diseases because the main cause of 90 per cent of the stomach related problems is liquor and meat.

If you drink clean and fresh water, food and liquids, follow all the rules of cleanliness, and take a balanced diet of nutritious food then you protect yourself from most of the stomach related diseases. Tuberculosis of the intestine and ulcer are caused due to drinking raw or improperly boiled milk. Always boil the milk properly before consuming it in any form. Do not consume paan masala , gutkha (tobacco), high fatty food, oil, sour, or spicy food. Quit smoking and stop drinking alcohol. Eat pure vegetarian food instead of meat. One of the main reason for constipation, dysentery and acidity is stress. Protect yourself from stress under all circumstances. Keep your mind cool and drain out unnecessary tensions.

Some easy tips to ease out job related stress

Ayurveda: Medicinal Use of Flowers at Home

Lotus: There is a strong relationship between the lotus and Goddess Lakshmi (signifying richness and wealth). The lotus represents growth in nature. The honeybee makes honey with its pollens and the flower is used to prepare Gulkand. Gulkand is used as a medicine to cure constipation and other diseases. One can see green colored seeds inside the lotus flower, which are roasted to make makhana. If the raw seeds are peeled and taken as a medicine, it increases strength and vigor. It is cold in nature. It is used as eyeliner along with honey to improve the eyesight. The lotus leaves can be used as a cosmetic as well. Grind the lotus leaves and mix them with the ubatan (a pack made out of gram flour, raw milk, curd and 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder) and apply on the face. Rub it gently on the face, the skin glows and the face looks beautiful.

Kewda (Pandanus) : It has a nice fragrance like Kasturi (musk). This flower removes odors and fills the atmosphere with fragrance. Kewda oil is beneficial for respiratory problems and provides vitality. Its perfume relieves headache and gout pain. Boil the flowers in water and take bath with this water, it is very beneficial in cases of leprosy, itching, small pox and heart diseases. A few drops of this flower added to water gives relief in headache and tiredness. In case of fever one drop of kewda essence helps the sweat to come out and the body temperature comes down. In case of severe pain in the ear, place two drops of its perfume in the ear. It will instantly relieve the pain.

Rose: Rose represents beauty, love and affection. The gulkand made out of rose is purgative in nature and reduces the heat in the intestines and stomach. It makes the heart and mind cheerful. Wash the eyes with rose water to reduce the redness of the eyes and swelling. Its perfume is vitalizing and its oil makes the mind cool. A few drops of rose essence is used in sweet dishes. It provides coolness during the hot summer season.

Champa (fragrant yellow flower): Grind champa flowers and apply it on the skin affected with leprosy. A few drops of this flower destroy the germs present in the blood. Dry the flowers and make a fine powder, use this powder to get relief from itching. Champa cures fever, improves the eyesight and gives strength and energy to men.

Aniseed (Saunf): Aniseed contains a lot of beneficial qualities. Boil the aniseed flowers in water; add cardamom and a few mint leaves in the water. It is better to boil the leaves in a ceramic pot and keep the water aside. When the water gets cold, give one teaspoon to small children and to babies who are getting new teeth and those who are suffering from extreme heat. This reduces the stomachache and the teeth will also grow in the correct manner.

Marigold: Grow marigold flowers near dirty ponds and near the surroundings of the house to protect the house from mosquitoes. It is also beneficial in liver diseases, swelling of the liver, stones and skin diseases.

Jasmine: This flower possesses a very good fragrance and grows especially in the summer season. Decorate the house with Jasmine flowers. You can keep a garland near you or in a vase, which will give freshness and fragrance. Its smell reduces the burning sensation. Women who have the problem of mild menstruation should chew a few petals of this flower. The menses cycle will become regular and the menstruation also becomes normal.

Night Queen: Commonly known as 'Raat ki Rani' possesses an extremely good fragrance, which can be felt from a long distance. The flower produces fragrance from evening to midnight and after that it gradually reduces. Another advantage of this flower is that mosquitoes are kept at bay. Its fragrance makes the person drowsy and puts one to sleep.

Sunflower: Sunflower contains vitamins A and D. It cures diseases which occur due to sunlight. Its oil is especially beneficial for heart patients and it reduces the level of cholesterol in the blood.

Chameli: Oil of this flower is used in skin diseases, pyaria, toothache, wounds, eye diseases, boils, etc. It increases the blood flow and activates the entire body. In case of mouth ulcers chewing the leaves of Chameli provide instant relief. This flower also contributes in providing mental happiness.

Saffron: This flower gives happiness and glowing skin. It gives strength, stops vomiting and destroys wind, bile and phlegm related problems (all the three dosha disorders). Saffron cools down the anxiety and stress present in different systems. Hence it is also known as a natural tranquilizer. It gives vigor, strength, activity and glow if consumed along with betel leaf.

Ashok: It is also known as Madan tree. The flowers, skin and leaves of Ashoka tree are highly beneficial for women and are used as medicine to cure several diseases. Its powder has the potential to cure most of the diseases related to women.

Palash (Forest Flame): It is considered to represent immense beauty because of the yellow flowers which grow on the tree in bunches. The tree looks very attractive from a distance. It is also called Forest Flame due to this quality. Its powder can cure any type of stomach problem. Boil the flowers in water and make a fine paste, keep this paste on the lower part of the belly to cure problems of stones. In case of acute pain due to the presence of stones or painful urination this medicine is highly beneficial.

China Rose (Gudhal): This flower is related to the uterus. Roast this flower in ghee and consume it after your menstruation cycle. This will protect the pregnancy. Chew a few China rose flowers to cure mouth ulcers. If you are suffering baldness or loss of hair, make a fine paste with these flowers and apply it on the scalp. It gives coolness and purifies the blood. It can be taken in the form of squash or Gulkand to cure Sujak (gonorrhoea) disease. China Rose squash is especially beneficial and makes a person happy and cheerful.

Shankhpushpi (Blue creeper): It is also known as 'Vishnukanta' and is found in summer season and appears to be some kind of grass. Grind the flowers, leaves and stem. Mix the paste with water and add honey or sugar candy. This medicine is extremely good for refreshing the mind and overcoming lethargy. Students are advised to take this regularly to cope up with stress, burden and competition.

Acacia: Grind the leaves of Acacia tree and apply on the head to get rid of headache. Apply the paste on skin affected with eczema and ringworm; it is beneficial for skin diseases. It also gives relief in cough and respiratory problems. Gargling with the acacia leaves helps stop tooth decay.

Neem: Grind the flowers of the neem tree and make a fine paste, apply this on boils and wounds to reduce burning sensation and heat. Rub the paste on the body and take bath, this is good to cure ringworm problem. Neem leaves are also useful for reducing weight. Grind the flowers, mix the paste in water and sieve it nicely. Regular consumption of this solution reduces weight and purifies the blood. It protects the body from infectious diseases. Neem has many uses and hence is also known as 'doctor of the home'.

Clove: This destroys the bacteria present in the pancreas and intestines. It increases the white blood cells and thereby the resistance power of the body. It also stops bad breath. It works like a painkiller, in case of pain in any part of the body. Rub the clove on a grinding stone and apply the paste on the painful area. Suck a clove incase of severe pain in the teeth. Smoking clove excretes all the unwanted elements through sweat.

Juhi (a kind of Jasmine): Make Gulkand or powder from the Juhi flowers. This medicine is beneficial for acidity, stomach ulcer and mouth ulcers. Living under the proximity of a Juhi tree protects one from tuberculosis.

Madhawi (Basil, a kind of creeper, which gives fragrant flowers): This flower is beneficial to cure skin diseases. Prepare powder from these flowers and apply the lep (pack) on the affected area. In case of arthritis, chew these flowers in the morning. It also controls respiratory problems.

Harsingar or Parijat: (Coral Tree ): This flower cures arthritis. The face pack made with these flowers gives glowing skin. Its sweet smell makes the mind cheerful.

Swallow-wart (medicinal plant - Aak): This flower removes phlegm and burning sensation. In case of jaundice, keep a few flowers in one or two betel leaves and give it to the patient. This medicine is very beneficial for this disease.

Kadamb: It is also known as Madan tree. If the cattle are suffering from some disease, keep the flowers and leaves in the cattle shed; the disease will not affect the cattle. It grows in rainy season and was the favorite tree of the 'gopikas' of Lord Krishna.

Kachnar (flowers of this tree are used as a vegetable): The bud of this tree blossoms in rainy season. The buds are useful in controlling the urge to pass bowels at small intervals. You can also make a poultice from the skin and flowers along with water and apply it on burn wounds and boils.

Shirish (Acacia tree): It is a wild tree possessing a nice fragrance. Its fragrance coming along with the wind refreshes the mind and makes a person happy. In case of itching sensation, grind the flowers and apply on the paste on the affected area. Prepare a decoction of the flowers and wash the eyes, this is useful for any type of eye problem.

Naagkesar (medicinal tree): It looks like clove. It destroys itching sensations. Make a powder of these leaves and consume it with butter or curd, this is beneficial in bleeding piles. It is also beneficial for conceiving a child.

Bakul (tree with fragrant leaves): The flowers of this tree are mixed with oil and used to make perfumes. Make powder of the flowers and apply it on the skin. This will make your skin becomes smooth. The squash of these flowers cures infertility in women. Use the stem of this tree for brushing teeth; it cures all dental problems.

Amaltaas (purgative medicinal plant): It grows in the summer season and the yellow flowers of this plant grow in bunches. It is very pleasing to the eyes when seen from a distance. Gulkand of these flowers is beneficial to cure constipation. Excess consumption is harmful and can cause dysentery, cramps in the stomach and ill feeling.

Pomegranate: In case of bile related eruptions on the body, prepare the juice from the pomegranate flowers, add sugar candy and drink it. Suck the flowers to cure mouth ulcers. Pour the juice of pomegranate bud to cure conjunctivitis.

System (UMTS) or cdma 2000, are the result of evolution from voice optimised
analogue systems like the North American Advanced Mobile Phone System (AMPS),

System (TACS). The relatively poor spectral efficiency, security and limited roaming
of these first generation (1G) systems led to second generation (2G) systems such
as the European Global System for Mobile Communication (GSM) and digital AMPS
(D-AMPS) from North America, which also produced cdma One, a narrowband CDMA
system which demonstrated clearly the potential of code division multiple access
(CDMA) for mobile communication. GSM has become a de facto global standard and
under Phase 2+ evolution can offer packet-switched data with the General Packet
Radio Service (GPRS) up to 115.2kbps and ultimately 384kbps with GPRS + EDGE
(Enhanced Data for Global Evolution). With High Speed Circuit Switched Data
(HSCSD), circuit-switched data to 57.6kbps can be supported. The CDMA technique
has been retained for the major 3G systems, but in wideband form (W-CDMA) to
support much higher user data rates. This will permit multi-media services to operate
with high quality and make possible bandwidth on demand for mobile
communication. Both CS and PS data are supported, with user rates up to
2.048Mbps peak (likely to rise in the future). 3G systems also promise better spectral
efficiency, security and roaming.

Relieve Acidity with Yoga and Ayurveda

Acidity is not a disease but the result of other diseases in the body. In other words, a person could be suffering from some other health problems and acidity could be a symptom or disorder. In this case, the acid formation in the stomach increases, which leads to sour belches, indigestion and loss of appetite.

Medicinal Cures from Ayurveda for Acidity:
  • Take half a gram of shankh bhasma and one gram of dry mango powder. Mix both with honey and lick to relieve acidity.
  • Mix green coriander, garlic, ripe tomatoes, ginger, salt and chillies. Prepare a fine paste and eat it to overcome different stomach related problems. It is very beneficial to eat after an attack of fever.
  • Take 30 gm of fresh coriander juice to increase appetite within three days.
  • Chop 50 gm onion and mix in fresh curd set with cow milk. Eat this to control acidity.
  • Grind two-grams of aniseed, one gram of dry mango powder, ten grams of sugar candy and store it in a glass jar. Take three to four times with hot water to calm down all types of indigestion.
  • Roast bitter gourd flowers or leaves in clarified butter (ghee) and prepare a powder. Take one to two grams twice or thrice daily to control acidity.
  • Take equal quantities of white cumin seeds and coriander seeds. Eat with sugar to control acidity.
  • Add a little bit of roasted cumin seeds in orange juice and add a little bit of rock salt. Drink this juice for relief.
  • Grind wood apple (bilva or bael) leaves in water and sieve. Add 20 gm sugar candy and drink to overcome acidity.
  • Mix Moolhati churna in honey and clarified butter and lick to relieve acidity.
  • Grind 30 gm dry dates and 25 gm aniseed, soak in 200 gm water overnight. Crush nicely the next morning and add 10 gm sugar candy. Drink this daily to reduce acidity.
  • Grind 100 gm tamarind (seedless), 25 gm cumin seed, and 125 gm sugar candy and prepare a powder. Store it in a glass jar. Take three grams twice daily with water to control acidity.
  • Prepare a powder with eight grams of shora and ten-grams of sal ammoniac. Take four to six grains twice daily with water to overcome pitta. It gives instant results in case of acidity; burning sensation in chest, sour belches, etc.
  • Chew lemon peels nicely and suck the juice to control acidity.
  • Mix one spoon of ginger juice with equal quantity of pomegranate juice and drink for relief.
  • Suck one clove daily after meals to control acidity and related problems.
  • Keep a small piece of jaggery and suck the juice daily after meals. It is beneficial when sour saliva is produced due to acidity. It also controls gastric problem, and prevents foul air.
  • Mix two grams of small harad churna in equal quantity of jaggery and eat it. Drink water over it. Take this medicine half an hour before meals and follow it for just three days. Acidity will get eradicated.
  • Drink one spoon of gwarpatha (aloe vera) juice daily for relief.
  • Take five grams each of drumstick root and giloy root and prepare chutney. Take it with hot water.
  • Mix two cups of spinach juice, half-cup carrot juice and two spoons kulthi juice.
  • Mix sugar in half spoon papaya milk and take this medicine.
  • Add a little bit of sugar in radish juice and drink.
  • Prepare kwath with four cloves, two pieces of harad and a spoonful of ajowan, and drink for relief.
  • Grind ten grams each of mint, cumin seeds and black pepper and prepare chutney. Add one cup of water, boil it and then drink.
  • Grind equal quantities of neem offshoots, and neem skin and take half a spoon daily in the morning on empty stomach with water.
  • Wash three grams each of creeping grass and bathua leaves and chew them.
  • Grind five grams each of dry mango powder, black salt, cinnamon, asafetida, pipal, and harad, then sieve it. Take a spoonful with lukewarm water daily after meals to control acidity.
  • If acidity arises during the night then mix a spoonful of soda bicarbonate and equal quantity of lemon juice in cold water and drink.
  • Prepare chutney with a pinch of rock salt, a small piece of ginger and a spoonful of lemon juice and eat it for relief.
  • Mix a spoonful of ajowan, a pinch of rock salt and a pinch of asafetida. Take this and drink water over it for relief.
Treatment of Acidity through Nature Cure:
  • Keep a lep of black mud on the stomach and tie a bandage over it. Apply the lep again if it gets dry.
  • Take hipbath for ten minutes daily in the morning and splash water at regular intervals.
  • Massage clarified butter (ghee) on both soles for ten minutes.
  • Keep hot water bag on the stomach, back, waist and knees.
  • Take a sauna bath in sitting position (can use a chair).
  • These remedies are very beneficial to overcome acidity.
Food and Diet Regulations for Acidity:
  • Drink cow's milk, pomegranate juice. Eat sweet lime, aniseed, grapes, dry dates, myrobalan, fig, old rice, kheer, juicy things, round gourd, roasted gram flour, etc.
  • Consume bitter gourd, gourd, torai, wheat flour, green leafy vegetables, Harad, garlic, and honey everyday.
  • Eat fruits like papaya, guava, apple, banana, cheekoo, wood apple and myrobalan marmalade etc.
  • Stop the consumption of tea, coffee, alcohol, meat, fish, eggs, sweets, tobacco, stale rice, heavy food, dry mango powder, refined flour, potato, spices, fried things and snacks.
  • Do not consume clarified butter ghee, oil, curd, food that increases pitta, lentils, whole horse beans, etc. Do not get exposed to sun, and avoid constipation.
  • Stop the consumption of hot, acidic and bitter tasting food as they increase pitta.
Yogic Cure for Acidity:

Practice Uttanapadasana, Halasana, Pavanmuktasana, Kandharasana, Yogamudrasana, Matsyasana, Bhujangasana, Ekpadgreevasana, Garbhasana, etc., to overcome stomach disorders and reduce constipation and acidity.

Pranayama for Acidity:
  • Pranayam is very useful – Kapalbhati pranayam should be practiced for five minutes everyday.
  • Anulom-Vilom and Nadi shodhan pranayam should also be practiced for ten minutes daily to overcome all stomach related problems and acidity.
  • Regular practice of Agnisar kriya is also very beneficial.
  • Uddiyan bandh keeps the stomach healthy and calms down acidity and other related problems.

11 Commandments For Smart Negotiating

When the economy is strong, job seekers feel not only that they can negotiate, but that it would be foolish not to. When the economy is weak, however, many candidates wrongly feel that they have to accept what's offered or risk losing the offer. Whatever the economic climate, what matters is how you negotiate. Although you may not get everything you want, you won't lose a job offer because of what you ask for. However, offers are frequently withdrawn because of the way someone asks for something. Whether the job market is good or bad, there are always opportunities to negotiate a better compensation package, but only if you understand how.

There are 11 basic commandments to help you negotiate the best possible deal in any economic climate when changing jobs, whether internally or with a new company. They are:

1. Be prepared. The more information you have about your market value and the prospective employer, the greater your likelihood of success. This is the first commandment because it's the most important. There's a wealth of information available on the Internet, at the public library and through professional associations and networking groups. Time spent learning how to negotiate and preparing for negotiations may be the best investment you'll ever make.

2. Recognize that employment negotiations are different. When the negotiations are over, you'll have to work with the person with whom you're negotiating. Moreover, your future success may depend on that person. So, while you want to negotiate the best possible deal, you need to do so in a way that doesn't damage your image. At the same time, the employer's primary concern isn't negotiating the least expensive compensation package it can get away with. Rather, the company's focus will be on getting you to accept the job. Even in a weak economy, a prospective employer wants you to feel good about taking the position.

3. Understand your needs and those of the employer. To be successful in this type of negotiation, you need to examine your priorities. What do you really want? For example, are you comfortable with a low salary and a large equity stake? Are you able to handle dramatic swings in income from year to year? Understanding your needs also will help you determine the type of company you want to work for. For example, a family-owned company may be able to offer a competitive salary and a large bonus based on results, but may not be willing to offer significant equity to a nonfamily member. A start-up company, on the other hand, may not be able to offer a market-rate salary, but will typically offer stock options. By recognizing what an employer can do, you'll be able to determine what issues you should press.

4.Understand the dynamics of the particular negotiations. Sometimes you'll have skills that are in great demand. And sometimes, you may be one of several qualified candidates the company would be happy to hire. Sizing up the situation and understanding the relative position of each party will help you determine when to press your advantage and when to back off. Knowing when to ask is often critical to getting what you want.

5. Never lie, but use the truth to your advantage. It isn't only wrong to lie, but in employment negotiations, it's ineffective. If you lie during negotiations, sooner or later you're likely to be caught. Once you are, even if you don't lose the offer, you'll be at a tremendous disadvantage, and your credibility will always be suspect. On the other hand, total candor won't be rewarded. You're under no obligation to blurt out everything you know. You can determine what you want to say and how you want to say it, and try to put everything in its most positive light. One key element of preparing should be to recognize areas of concern so you can rehearse how to handle them when they inevitably come up.

6.Understand the role fairness plays in the process. The guiding principle for most employers when negotiating is fairness. Within the constraints of their budget and organizational structure, employers usually will agree to anything that's fair and reasonable to hire someone they want. Appeals to fairness are your most powerful weapon. Thus, you should be able to justify every request you make in terms of fairness. For example, if salespeople in other companies in your industry are typically being given expense accounts, you can expect to receive one as well. Your prospective employer will want you to accept its offer and feel that you've been treated fairly. Understanding the importance of fairness as a negotiating principle can make the difference between success and failure.

7. Use uncertainty to your advantage. The more information you convey to a potential employer about your bottom line, the more likely it will limit what you get. Before making an offer, a company typically tries to learn what it will take for you to accept the position. With that information, the prospective employer will be able to determine the minimum package it needs to offer. An employer may not offer you as little as it can get away with. However, if you've divulged too much information, your offer will likely be smaller than it would have been otherwise. By not disclosing your exact current compensation or what it would take to get you to leave your job, you'll force a potential employer to make its best offer. When dealing with recruiters, however, you may have to provide salary information. If you do, though, it's important to present that information in the most advantageous way.

8. Be creative. Consider the value of the total package. Look for different ways to achieve your objectives. Be willing to make tradeoffs to increase the total value of the deal. If you're creative, you can package what you want in ways that will be acceptable to the company. You'll also be able to find creative "trades" that allow you to withdraw requests that might be problematic to the company in return for improvements in areas where the company has more flexibility.

9. Focus on your goals, not on winning. Too often in negotiations, the act of winning becomes more important than achieving your goals. It's important not to make your future boss feel as if he's lost in the negotiations. You'll have gained little by negotiating a good deal if you alienate your future boss in the process.

10. Know when to quit bargaining. The one sure way to lose everything you've achieved is to be greedy. There comes a point in every negotiation when you've gotten everything you could have reasonably expected to gain. While most companies will want to treat you fairly and make you happy, few companies want to hire a prima donna. Being perceived as greedy or unreasonable may cause the deal to fall apart. Even if it doesn't, you'll have done immeasurable harm to your career. This brings us to the 11th and most important commandment:

11. Never forget that employment is an ongoing relationship. Job negotiations are the starting point for your career with a company. Get too little and you're disadvantaged throughout your career there; push too hard and you can sour the relationship before it begins.

Understanding these principles will allow you to effectively negotiate the terms of your new job in good times and in bad. Once you are hired, do your job well and continually seek out new challenges. As you take on added responsibilities and learn new skills,there will be opportunities to negotiate further improvements.

this and will be based more on the IETF (Internet Engineering Task Force)
specifications.
As the core network is not the subject for UMTS standardisation, it follows that the
way it interacts with UE will remain essentially that specified for GSM. Hence, when
considering UMTS procedures, we can initially concentrate on the Air Interface and
UTRAN.
It is still useful to examine the Non-Access stratum and Core Network procedures in
order to show the overall system operation, and how UTRAN and Air Interface
procedures fit into the bigger picture.

Release ’99 of the 3GPP specifications for UMTS are sufficient for operators to begin
to plan and deploy UMTS networks which consist of the brand new W-CDMA, FDDmode
air interface added to the standardised GSM Phase 2+ and GPRS core network. However the further evolution of UMTS will be strongly dependant on future standardisation work, in both 3GPP and in other relevant groups.
The speed of development and the eventual implementation of future specifications will also be immensely dependent on market demands and conditions, since these will determine the support and resources for such development.
Amongst the key broad areas in which ongoing specification and standardisation work is likely to impact the future of UMTS, are the following :
1. Upgrades to the core network, in particular beginning the move towards unifying and integrating the packet and circuit-switched domains, and providing the basis for multimedia services, on the basis of IP transport protocols.
2. Further development of service-related architectures, interfaces and procedures, including the continued evolution of CAMEL, USIM, security and fraud protection and the Open Services Architecture.
3. Further specification of the TDD mode of operation at the UMTS air interface. Since TDD spectrum is currently not applicable in Japan, TDD mode is not a priority for Japanese infrastructure and terminal vendors in the short term.
4. Investigation of possible commonalities and harmonisation of UMTS work in 3GPP with cdma2000 development in progress by 3GPP2. This is in line with the ITU concept of a family of 3G standards able to seamlessly interoperate easily. Other important and ongoing harmonisation efforts also include those between the GSM and US TDMA communities.
5. Although not strictly part of “UMTS”, specification of GERAN (GSM/EDGE Radio Access Network) is a development process which now falls under the auspices of 3GPP. EDGE is by no means certain of wide market acceptance and is not a requirement in implementing UMTS.
Although there is a body of opinion which supports the use of EDGE as a technology
to fill the coverage gaps between initial islands of UMTS, the existence of EDGE capable
handsets and complete GERAN specifications from 3GPP will lag behind the introduction of UMTS, and the first UMTS networks will therefore almost certainly still use GSM alone as the fill-in radio access technology.

Many companies won't like to give you a very high basic salary but the benefits and perks will add up to a big amount. Take the total amount offered into consideration. May be you can negotiate on a club membership, company paid vacation or bonus.


Let the whole discussion proceed in an amicable environment and even if the discussion doesn't materialize because of the salary issues, do not ruin your personal relationship with the recruiter. The world is round, you can get to see the same person somewhere else in the future.

When you and the recruiter reach at a mutually agreeable figure, get the offer in writing.
